“Rivers are magnets for the imagination, for conscious pondering and subconscious dreams, thrills and fears.” - From Lifelines

In 2003, I was inspired by the looming water crisis to create flow, a site adaptive
installation which invites viewers to explore the idea of river. I spent the following two years working to create over 3,000 individual, hand formed ceramic pieces that when assembled become a twenty foot long sculptural collage of river. flow is suggestive of the dynamic movement of water, its changing colors as light dances across the surface, the richness of the flora of the riverbanks, and the creatures that dwell within it. Video footage of moving water accompanies the installation.
